How beautiful is she that holds her discontent for my acts
She lays in my arms to help me accept the facts and I layed there
And stared, and stared, and my desired burned slowly but the fear of rejection
Overwhelmed me and I just held her tight, all night
And the morning brought with it new possiblities, and I believe she's still feeling me
But I have to thank her for letting me see, how lonely I could be
If I didn't take care of her love…….
And sometimes it was all there was and i watched it wash out to see
And our names were scribled in the sand, woman and man
Together our existence was intertwined so long ago
And we willing took care of each other and made plans for our childrens futures
As our ancestor had done for us, so life became a full circle
And our existence rotated smoothly and it was what we both wanted
How much happiness can one ask for or have, truly God grace abounds
and the distant between me and her left me sad
my mermaid song was only a memory as i listen to the shells she left with me
the seagulls sounds breaks the trance as i look on the horizon
and the Sun breaks the bow of the earths surface and i stand in the openess of my confus
Last night i slept with an Angel in my arms and i felt our hearts beating as one
Her softness held me captive, as i waited patient to see the love in her eyes
We took a 1/2 and hour more, just to enjoy the morning coming
And i remembered the first time i held her close to me
And just like then, last night was so special to me
funny how memories of the first time we touch recently flooded my existance
i can't seem to listen to that Kemistry cd without flashing back
each movement seemed so precise, like we had been there before
and it scared me to think wow, this woman this woman is something special
something different, in her own way she possesed the time i found myself in
and you know what, i hadn't been that happy in a long time
so i hold on to memories, until i can hold on to her again
who knows what tomorrow brings, i listened to the wave last night
and i smiled and remember a time when she layed next to me in love
She lays in my arms to help me accept the facts and I layed there
And stared, and stared, and my desired burned slowly but the fear of rejection
Overwhelmed me and I just held her tight, all night
